Description
Lori carpets from Loom are hand-woven masterpieces from India, especially the popular Gabbeh carpets. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to their relaxed, folk style compared to traditional Persian carpets. They have enjoyed growing popularity since the early 1990s. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, either abstract or figurative with motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room. These rugs represent craftsmanship and are a charming addition to modern or traditional interior styles, combining robust beauty and cultural depth.
