Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, include the popular Gabbeh carpets, named after the Farsi word for “raw”. Since the early 1990s, they have been a relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, whether abstract or figurative with motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton and other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs, and they fit into any room in the home. These rugs embody craftsmanship and complement both modern and traditional interior styles with their rugged beauty and cultural depth. Gabbehs are not only decorative, but also a testament to the craftsmanship of the weavers and the rich rug tradition of India.
