Description
Lori rugs, especially the hand-woven Gabbeh varieties from India, have been known for their authenticity and popularity since the 1990s. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple and relaxed aesthetic compared to classic Persian carpets. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and bold geometric patterns, which can include abstract shapes or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations made of cotton and other materials. Their sizes range from small mats to large rugs and fit well in any room. These rugs embody craftsmanship and offer a charming addition to modern or traditional interior styles, exuding rugged beauty and cultural depth.
