Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, include the popular Gabbeh carpets, named after the Farsi word for “raw”. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, either abstract or featuring motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, some are also made of cotton or other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs, and they fit into any room in the home. These rugs embody craftsmanship and offer a charming addition to modern or traditional interior styles. They combine rugged beauty and cultural depth, reflect Indian craftsmanship and represent timeless elegance in interior design.
