Description
Loom Lori rugs, handwoven in India, include the popular Gabbeh rugs, whose name means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, which can be abstract or figurative, often featuring animal or human motifs. Made primarily from wool, there are also variations in cotton or other materials. The rugs vary in size from small mats to large pieces and fit into any room. They embody craftsmanship and are a charming addition to modern and traditional interior styles, conveying rugged beauty and cultural depth.
