Description
Loom Lori rugs are hand-woven in India on a wide loom. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to a simple, rustic rug. They have become increasingly popular since the early 1990s as they offer a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to the Persian rugs typically associated with traditional interior design. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a wide variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. The patterns can be either abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are usually made from wool, but some are also made from cotton or other materials. They range in size from small mats to large rugs and can be used in any room of the house.
