Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh carpets are made from hand-woven wool and originate from India. The word ‘gabbeh’ means ‘raw’ in Farsi. Since the 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile and a diverse colour spectrum, combined with bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or representational, often featuring motifs of animals or people. In addition to wool, they are also made from cotton or other materials and vary in size from small mats to large rugs. Their rustic charm makes them suitable for any room in the house, as they create a folksy, cosy atmosphere. Gabbeh rugs embody a craftsmanship that combines tradition with modern design and brings a warm, inviting touch to any living space.
