Description
Loom Lori rugs, hand-woven in India, are called “Gabbeh,” which means “raw” in Farsi, referring to their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with classic interior design. Gabbeh rugs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, a variety of vibrant colours and bold, geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton or other materials. Sizes range from small mats to large rugs, making them versatile for use in any room of the home, where they create a warm, traditional atmosphere.
