Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, are known as “Gabbeh”, which means “raw” in Persian and describes their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have grown in popularity as a more relaxed, folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Made from wool, sometimes cotton or other materials, they range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home. Gabbeh rugs add a warm, inviting atmosphere to any space and are an expression of craftsmanship and cultural tradition.
