Description
Loom Lori rugs are hand-woven in India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are known for their thick, luxurious pile, wide range of colours and bold geometric patterns. These can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Usually made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They range in size from small mats to large carpets and are versatile enough to be used in any room. Gabbeh carpets lend rooms a warm, inviting atmosphere and are an expression of craftsmanship and cultural tradition.
