Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh rugs are handmade in India and bear the name “Gabbeh,” which means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have gained popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Made from wool, sometimes cotton or other materials, sizes range from small mats to large rugs that can be used in any room of the house. These rugs embody craftsmanship and offer a folk art addition to various interior design styles.
