Description
Loom Lori Gabbeh carpets are handmade in India and are known for their rustic charm. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, which refers to the simple and natural aesthetic of these carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or figurative, often featuring depictions of animals or people. They are usually made from wool, occasionally from cotton or other materials. Sizes range from small mats to large rugs that can be used in any room of the house, adding a warm, handmade touch to any space.
