Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven works of art from India. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, describing a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a diverse colour palette and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Mostly made of wool, cotton and other materials are also used. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs, and they fit into any room in the house. Gabbeh rugs embody craftsmanship and bring a touch of folk art to modern interiors.
