Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven in India, especially the Gabbeh variety, whose name means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a relaxed, folk alternative to classic Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and bold geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Mainly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton and other materials. Sizes range from small mats to large rugs, making them versatile for any room in the home. Their rusticity and artistic expressiveness have made Gabbeh rugs a valued element of modern interior design.
