Loom Lori carpets, known as Gabbeh, are hand-woven in India on wide looms. The name "Gabbeh" means "raw" in Farsi and refers to a simple, rustic carpet. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as they offer a relaxed, more folksy alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs and they are suitable for any room in the house.
