Description
Kilim rugs differ significantly from hand-knotted varieties in that they are hand-woven without a high wool pile, which makes them flatter and rougher. This makes them more cost-effective and lighter, ideal for use on both sides. Originally from Persia, they are now also produced in India. Their patterns are simple and straightforward, due to the weaving technique.
