Description
Kilim rugs differ from hand-knotted varieties in their hand-woven design, with a flatter structure and rougher feel, without a high wool pile. This makes them more affordable and lighter, as well as versatile, as they can be used on both sides. Originally from Persia, they are now also manufactured in India. They are characterised by their simple, linear patterns, which are created by the weaving technique.
