Description
Kilim rugs differ from hand-knotted rugs in that they are hand-woven, without a high wool pile, and are flatter and rougher. They are less expensive and lighter, and can be used on both sides. Originally from Persia, they are now also manufactured in India, with simple, straight patterns created by their weaving technique.
