Description
Kilim rugs differ significantly from hand-knotted varieties in that they are hand-woven, resulting in a flat, durable pile without raised wool. This technique makes them less expensive and lighter than traditional rugs. Kilims can be used on both sides and originate from the Persian region, particularly Afghanistan. Their designs are simple and straightforward, due to the weaving technique.
