Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to formal Persian carpets. They have a thick pile, many colours and feature geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit well in any room. Gabbehs offer a rustic style that stands out from traditional designs and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere.
