Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted works from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick pile, rich colours and feature cool, geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
