Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted works of art from Iran and India. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile and feature a variety of colours and cool, geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
