Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted carpets from Iran and India. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a popular, relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile and feature a variety of colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
