Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted carpets from Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
