Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home. These rustic rugs embody a simple style and are ideal for those who prefer a less formal interior design.
