Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, are known for their simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have been a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. With a thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, Gabbehs feature cool, geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home.
