Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean ‘raw’ in Farsi and embody a simple, rustic rug style. Popular since the 1990s, they offer a relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. With thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, they feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit perfectly into any room in the house.
