Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, are known for their rustic style. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and characterises their simple nature. Since the early 1990s, they have been a popular alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick pile, rich colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, often abstract. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit well in any room of the house.
