Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. "Gabbeh" means "raw" in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. With thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and cool geometric and animal motifs, Gabbehs are usually made of wool. They vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
