Description
Gabbeh carpets, traditionally knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and embody a simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and cool, geometric or animal motifs, which can be both abstract and representational. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and can be used in any room of the house.
