Description
Gabbeh rugs, woven in Iran and India, are known for their rustic style. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple nature. Since the early 1990s, they have gained popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a wide range of colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or realistic. Usually made of wool on wool, they range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
