Description
Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, are known for their rustic style. The term “Gabbeh” in Farsi means “raw” and describes their simple nature. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick pile, come in a variety of colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
