Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and embody a simple, rustic style. Popular since the 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick pile, diverse colours and feature cool, geometric or animal motifs, often abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they range in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
