Description
Gabbeh rugs, from Iran and India, are known for their rustic charm. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick pile, come in a variety of colours and often feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they range in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
