Description
Gabbeh rugs, made in Iran and India, are known for their rustic charm. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple nature. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs offer a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool geometric and animal motifs, often abstract or representational. They are typically made of wool on wool and range in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room in the home.
