Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and embody a simple, rustic style. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are associated with formal interiors. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile and feature a variety of colours and cool geometric and animal motifs, often abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home.
