Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their simple, rustic style, as reflected in the Farsi term ‘gabbeh’ (‘raw’). Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which are associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick pile, a variety of colours and feature cool geometric and animal motifs. Mostly made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
