Description
Gabbeh carpets, from Iran and India, are known for their simplicity. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their rustic style. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often more formal. Gabbehs have a thick pile, varied colours and often feature cool geometric or animal motifs. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
