Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, mean "raw" in Farsi and have offered a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian rugs since the early 1990s. They have a thick pile, diverse colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs. Mostly made of wool, they range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room of the house thanks to their rustic simplicity and luxurious appeal.
