Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and represent a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have grown in popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are associated with classic interior design. Gabbehs are known for their thick pile, diverse colour palette and cool geometric and animal motifs, often abstract or figurative with animals or people. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room in the house.
