Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian. Increasingly popular since the early 1990s, they offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, often designed with cool geometric or animal motifs, they combine abstract and representational patterns, frequently featuring animals or people. Made from wool on wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room of the house for a folksy interior design.
