Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian and embody a simple, rustic style. They have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s as more relaxed alternatives to traditional Persian rugs. They offer thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or realistic. Mostly made of wool, they range from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room. Gabbehs combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design and are ideal for cosy, rustic interiors.
