Description
Gabbeh carpets from Iran and India are hand-knotted works of art, whose name means “raw” in Persian. Since the early 1990s, their popularity has been growing as they offer a rustic alternative to traditional Persian carpets. With a thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours, they feature bold geometric and animal motifs. These rugs, mostly made of wool, often display abstract or figurative patterns featuring animals or people. From small mats to large rugs, they can be used in any room, adding relaxed and folksy accents to interior design.
