Description
Gabbeh rugs, from the Persian word for “raw”, are sturdy rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India. Having grown in popularity since the early 1990s, they offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With thick pile, many colours and cool, geometric or animal motifs, they go well with a more rustic interior. Often made of wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room. Their patterns can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people.
