Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are rustic knotted rugs; ‘Gabbeh’ means ‘raw’ in Persian. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They are characterised by thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool, geometric or animal motifs. Mostly made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
