Gabbeh carpets from Iran and India are knotted carpets whose name means "raw" in Persian. Popular since the 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They are characterised by their thick pile, diverse colours and cool, geometric or animal motifs. Mostly made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
