Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes rustic rugs that have been popular since the early 1990s as a relaxed, more folk-inspired alternative to Persian rugs. They have a thick pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are usually made of wool, but may also contain cotton or other materials, and fit into any room in the home.
