Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to rustic rugs that have been gaining popularity since the 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, with thick pile, many colours and bold geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Gabbeh carpets are mainly made of wool, some also of cotton, and vary in size to suit every room in the house.
