Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a relaxed, more folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, varied colours and cool, geometric or animal patterns. These rugs, mostly made of wool, are available in various sizes, from small mats to large rugs, and fit well in any room of the house. Their patterns can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people.
