Description
Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, are rustic rugs with thick pile and varied colours. Popular since the early 1990s as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, they feature cool geometric and animal patterns, often abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
