Gabbeh carpets from Iran and India are "raw" and rustic, popular since the early 1990s as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. They are characterised by thick pile, a variety of colours and bold patterns with geometric or animal motifs. Mostly made of wool, but also available in cotton, they fit into any room size and design in the home.
