Description
Gabbeh carpets are knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and refers to the simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have become more popular as they offer a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. They are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and geometric and animal patterns. Gabbeh carpets are usually made of wool, occasionally cotton, and are available in various sizes.
